King Charles, an AI version of Princess Diana, and Ed Sheeran are the unusual combination brought together in SNL UK‘s latest cold open, during which a D.I.A.N.A AI-bot goes rogue and the king is forced to beg for Sheeran’s help as the apocalypse nears.
“I couldn’t help but overhear your conversation. You see I was just outside, sitting on the fence,” says Sheeran (Annabel Marlow), who has faced criticism this week after Macklemore was dropped from his tour for pro-Palestinian statements. “You know sometimes, when it comes to conflicts, the bravest thing you can do is to say nothing at all.”
