The official trailer for Musk, filmmaker Alex Gibney’s documentary on Elon Musk, has arrived.
The two-minute and 24-second trailer was released today and, like the teaser from earlier this month, sets the tone for what to expect when the movie hits theaters next month.
“Elon Musk is one of the most controversial figures in the world,” says Gibney in a voiceover that kicks off the trailer. “So, I decided to make him a subject of my next film.”

“But it soon became clear, Elon would not participate,” the filmmaker continues as posts from Elon Musk appear on the screen, calling Gibney a “douche” and declaring that the film is a “hit piece.”
The trailer continues by touching on critiques of SpaceX, Tesla, Musk’s acquisition of Twitter, his personal life and entrance into politics, DOGE, and much more. It truly looks like it’s going to be a brutal exposé on Musk.
Musk hits select theaters in New York and Los Angeles on Oct. 9 and opens nationwide on Oct. 16.
