Minecraft Dungeons 2 releases today: Why error code 0064 is popping up for some

Minecraft Dungeons II is now out for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and on Steam.

Unfortunately, based on Reddit posts and Google Search trends, some gamers trying to play the latest Minecraft action-RPG adventure are reportedly running into some issues on launch day. Specifically, error code 0064 may appear when attempting to boot up the game.

Users have speculated that it could be due to launch-day server overload or a Microsoft authentication issue. The good news? Google Search trends for the error code only spiked for a brief period of time on Sept. 29, so the issue may be resolved.

To repair the Minecraft Launcher on a Windows PC, follow these steps:

• Go to Windows Search and type in Minecraft Launcher

• Right-click on Minecraft Launcher when it shows up and select App Settings

• Press Terminate to close the launcher and then click on the Repair option

• When that’s complete, reopen the Minecraft Launcher and select Minecraft Dungeons II
