Samsung is giving the Galaxy Store a minor, but useful UI update

The Galaxy Store is a useful resource for Samsung device owners, offering a range of apps and tools designed specifically for Galaxy devices. While it doesn’t get many UI updates, the app store’s latest update may be worth checking out, as it makes a key change to the home page layout.

According to Tarun Vats on X, version 6.6.18.22 of Galaxy Store brings the Menu option to the floating bottom bar. The accompanying screenshots reveal exactly what’s changed. This change brings the total number of bottom bar items to four, with Menu joining Apps, Games, and My Galaxy.

Before this update, users had to open the menu via the hamburger menu in the top left of the page. From a usability perspective, this was harder to reach, particularly on larger phones like the Galaxy S26 Ultra or the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.

There’s a valid argument that the bottom bar is more crowded following this reshuffle, but that’s a small price to pay for convenience. It also looks like the Galaxy Store logo has moved farther to the left, thanks to the space created by the menu icon’s relocation.

You can check for the update by visiting the Galaxy Store right now. If an update is available, the app should guide you through installation. If you still don’t see the update, Vats has shared a link to download the APK manually on your Galaxy phone.

While this minor redesign won’t drastically change how you use the Galaxy Store, it brings a nice quality-of-life improvement most Galaxy users can get behind. Samsung hasn’t confirmed this yet, though the update should be compatible with One UI 8.5 and the newer One UI 9 software.
