While it was nice to have some wins, it looks like the good news is already coming to an end. You’ll soon be paying more for your monthly bills.
T-Mobile is starting to notify its members about an incoming price hike. Customers are receiving emails informing them that their Regulatory Programs and Telco Recovery fee is going up. You’ll soon have to pay $5.49 per line for voice lines and $2.60 per line for mobile internet. That means you’re going to be paying $1 more per month and $0.50 more per month for these services, respectively.
If you’re wondering what the Regulatory Programs and Telco Recovery fee is, it covers T-Mobile’s compliance costs with government mandates, like E911. It’s also used to cover costs that are imposed on T-Mobile by other carriers for the delivery of calls. Since the fee is not a part of the core plan, but rather a charge placed on top of it, the increase applies, even if you have a five-year price lock guarantee.
The change is scheduled to go into effect on October 12, 2026. This marks the second time that T-Mobile has raised this fee in 2026.
