Amazon’s newly announced Fire TV Stick 4K gets a 50% discount for a very limited time

Amazon just announced its new Fire TV Stick 4K. This new revision brings new hardware, and Amazon promises a faster streaming experience. In fact, the brand shares that the Fire TV Stick 4K “turns on faster, apps launch over 35% faster, and content starts playing nearly 20% faster.” Now those are numbers we can get behind. Of course, the 4K model doesn’t come cheap, costing $60. But for the next week, Amazon is offering a 50% discount to early buyers, which makes it worth picking up.

It might be time for an upgrade

In addition to new physical design and performance upgrades, the Fire TV Stick 4K comes with Amazon’s latest software experience called Vega OS. It’s smoother and modern, and also provides access to Alexa+. Furthermore, this new device comes with a brand-new remote.

Amazon states that the design is meant to make holding the remote more comfortable. It was able to achieve this with its “asymmetric shape—a flat top and curved, weighted bottom—was designed to make it quicker and easier to tell which direction to hold it.”

The home button is made of metal in order to make it distinct from the others, and you also get a new layout that makes it all quite easy to navigate. And just like previous remote, you’ll still be able to control your TV with it. Amazon also plans to launch Fire TV Remote Plus.

This model will provide a more elevated approach with an aluminum housing and backlit buttons. The new Fire TV 4K is now available in the US, along with other parts of the world. As mentioned before, the price in the US will come in at $60. But until October 7, 2026, you’ll be able to get a 50% discount on the product.

That perfectly lines up with the end of Amazon’s upcoming Prime Big Deal Days event. If you just want the new remote, you’ll be able to order that as well in October for $14.99. Amazon has not released a price for its Fire TV Remote Plus, which is coming next year.
