A PEGI 18 listing for Grand Theft Auto 6 was briefly visible before being deleted, and its unusually specific content summary reportedly outlined graphic violence, drug use and sexual themes. PC Gamer reported that the ratings-page description went well beyond a standard age classification, laying out details that Rockstar had not announced directly.
What the deleted PEGI listing reportedly revealed
The deleted description characterized the game’s violence as bloody and highly realistic. It also said certain weapons could cause detailed decapitation and dismemberment, a notably specific distinction from a general warning about violence.
PEGI’s summary described drug use as frequent and prominent, with players able to use illegal substances from their inventory. It reportedly singled out cocaine, saying Jason and Lucia could carry it and use it directly from their hand at any time.
The listing also detailed sexual content, including nudity, intercourse and occasional fetishes. In nightclub scenes, players could reportedly pay for private dances and move their characters’ hands onto dancers’ breasts and buttocks. The description further noted that domestic animals can be harmed, but with less injury detail than human characters.
A more revealing content rating
GTA 6 has a Mature rating in the US and an 18 certificate from PEGI. The European board’s detailed description drew attention because it reportedly provided a clearer picture of specific content than the age label alone, including how players may interact with drugs and nightclub performers.
Those details come from a listing that has since been removed, not a direct Rockstar announcement. They should therefore be treated as PEGI’s reported account of the game’s content, rather than independently confirmed descriptions of its final gameplay.
Release date and what remains unknown
Grand Theft Auto 6 is scheduled to launch on consoles on November 19. Rockstar has not confirmed when the game will come to PC, so that release timing remains unknown.
