Add Android Authority on Google:
TL;DR
- Google’s redesigned Google Wallet card picker seems to be rolling out to more users.
- The new interface replaces the horizontal card carousel with a vertically stacked list of saved payment cards.
Google has started rolling out its redesigned Google Wallet card interface more widely. The new layout has now started showing up on Pixel phones used by members of our team, suggesting that Google is expanding availability beyond the limited group of users who initially spotted it.
The biggest change is how Wallet displays your saved payment cards. Instead of the current horizontally scrolling carousel, the new interface stacks your debit and credit cards vertically, making it easier to see and select the card you want. So instead of repeatedly swiping through a carousel to find a card, you can tap the one you want from the expanded list.
The redesign also appears to keep the main Wallet screen relatively uncluttered. The stacked card interface opens separately, leaving other Wallet items such as transit cards, loyalty cards, and passes accessible from the main screen.
When the redesign was spotted initially, availability appeared to be limited to a small number of users. Its appearance on more devices now suggests Google is in the process of a broader rollout.
