Microsoft 365 Personal costs $99.99 a year. That’s actually the cheapest option, and you only get that if you pay the full price all at once. Every year. Forever.
If you want a better option, Microsoft Office 2024 gives you many of the same apps for PC or Mac, lasts for life, and is on sale now during extended Deal Days for $114.97 (reg. $149.99).
Your license includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote. That’s enough for students writing papers and building presentations, or for families keeping a household budget in a spreadsheet. All four apps work fully offline, and your files stay on your device and sync when you reconnect to the internet. Free tools like Google Docs and Sheets need a browser and a connection before they’ll work at all.
Office 2024 also adds newer tools to each app. Smart Compose in Word suggests text as you type, based on what you’ve already written. In Excel, dynamic array formulas like FILTER, SORT, and UNIQUE update their results automatically when the data changes, so a filtered sales list stays current as new entries come in. PowerPoint can record a presentation with voice, video, and closed captions for online classes or remote meetings. Real-time co-authoring lets classmates or family members edit the same document at once, with comments and chat built in.
This license isn’t for Microsoft 365. It doesn’t have the little things like cloud storage or Copilot, but there are better ways to store your files or ask an AI questions that don’t require paying nearly $100 every year.
Get the Office apps you use every day without paying for them every year.
