TL;DR
- OnePlus has launched the OnePlus 16 in China.
- The new phone has a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip, a 9,000mAh battery, and a 200MP main camera.
OnePlus announced its exit from Europe and the US earlier this year, which means the OnePlus 15 was its last flagship device in these markets. The company is still steaming ahead with the OnePlus 16 in China, though, and it’s just launched the new phone.
The OnePlus 16 is clearly positioned as a performance beast, largely due to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor. That’s great news for gamers and people who simply want smooth performance years down the line. Expect an improved “Glacier” cooling system too, with a vapor chamber cooling system that’s apparently 40% better.
