Samsung’s smart glasses just got their biggest leak yet, with designs and specs laid bare

Samsung is all set to introduce its Android XR-powered Galaxy Glasses later this year, and a new leak has given us a closer look at the different frame designs that will be available, alongside some previously unknown specifications.

Samsung has already confirmed that the Galaxy Glasses will debut later this year. The company first showcased the glasses back in July during the Galaxy Z Fold 8 launch event, but didn’t reveal much about their availability at the time.

Since then, Samsung has confirmed that the glasses will arrive before the end of 2026, with most rumors pointing toward a November launch. However, plenty of details have remained under wraps. Now, a new leak from SammyGuru has revealed some of the key specifications, alongside a closer look at the different designs Samsung is preparing.

According to the publication, the Samsung Galaxy Glasses will weigh around 41 grams with standard lenses. That’s noticeably lighter than the Meta Ray-Ban Gen 3, which weighs around 51.5 grams in its standard configuration. Under the hood, the Galaxy Glasses are expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 chipset, paired with 2GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage.

There will reportedly be a 12MP camera capable of recording 3K video at up to 30fps. Similar to other smart glasses, Samsung’s offering will also feature open-ear speakers and built-in microphones, allowing users to take calls, listen to music, and interact with the glasses while on the go.

The glasses are also reportedly rated for up to 72 hours of battery life when used with the charging case. But perhaps the more interesting part of the leak is the number of frame designs Samsung is preparing. According to the publication, Gentle Monster will offer six different frame styles with up to 16 variants, while Warby Parker will introduce three designs.

Gentle Monster’s lineup (shown above) will reportedly include several different shapes, including a standard square frame, a rounder design, a bolder square frame, a cat-eye style, and slimmer oval-shaped options. The frames will be available in colors including black, burgundy, and cream, with lens options such as clear, light blue, brown, and gray, depending on the variant.

Warby Parker, meanwhile, will reportedly offer three designs called Alden, Reid, and Wren. The Alden and Wren frames will come in Pine (dark green) and Saddle (reddish-brown) colorways. The Reid design will reportedly be available in Jet Black. Buyers will also be able to choose between clear lenses and sunglasses for the different frame and color combinations.

According to the report, Samsung is planning to launch the Galaxy Glasses in November, with availability initially limited to South Korea and the U.S. There’s still no word on pricing, but the publication claims the glasses will be sold through the respective eyewear brands’ websites as well as Samsung Experience Stores in the U.S.
