If you’re looking for a cheap weekend activity to get your kids into the Halloween spirit, Lego is hosting free make-and-take events at participating stores across the U.S. and Canada.
On Oct. 25 from 12-2 p.m., Lego Stores are inviting fans to build and take home a limited-edition Lego Ghost Street build completely free of charge. As always, there is a small catch.
The event is strictly reserved for Lego Insiders. That’s no reason to give up on this giveaway. If you aren’t a member yet, you can sign up for free before heading to the store. We also recommend turning up early. The build is offered on a strict first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Lines usually form 30 to 45 minutes before the start time, so it pays to be prepared.
Mashable Trend Report
There is always a lot of interest in these free events. No, you aren’t walking away with a $100 build without spending anything, but you are taking home a miniature display model that you can’t purchase. It’s that exclusivity that gets the people going.
The Ghost Street make-and-take event is intended for participants aged 6+, and be sure to visit your local store page to check whether they’re participating before heading out.
