Best Magic The Gathering deal: Secrets of Strixhaven’s Play Booster Box under market price

TL;DR: The Magic: The Gathering Secrets of Strixhaven Play Booster Box is on sale for $129.99 at Amazon, down from its $164.70 list price.

It’s been almost six months since MTG’s Secret of Strixhaven came out, but you can now catch up for less money than ever thanks to Amazon knocking the 30-pack Play Booster Box under market price.

As of Oct. 21, the Magic: The Gathering Secrets of Strixhaven Play Booster Box is down to $129.99 at Amazon, taking $34.71 off its $164.70 list price.

This 21% discount means you’re only paying around $4.33 per pack for the 30 included packs. That new price not only beats the $134.99 deal we covered in May, but it’s also the best price this box has ever seen on Amazon (confirmed by camelcamelcamel).

Unlike some trading card bargains that rely on third-party sellers, this one is sold and shipped directly by Amazon, with free delivery currently set for Oct. 30, or Oct. 23 for Prime members.

This deal is majorly beating Walmart’s price ($161.95), the lowest-priced TCGplayer listing ($139.58), and even the trading card selling platform’s estimated market price of $139.25. Now that’s a good deal.

Each Secrets of Strixhaven Play Booster has 14 cards, including one to five rares or higher and at least one Traditional Foil. A fifth of packs also contain a Traditional Foil Land, while the set’s biggest draw is a Mystical Archive card in every booster, featuring an instant or sorcery spell with special artwork and a showcase frame.
