T-Mobile wants to give you a free Galaxy Z Flip 8, no trade-in required — so what’s the catch?

TL; DR: T-Mobile has released a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 deal that will get you the clamshell device for free when you add a line with the Experience Beyond or Experience More plan. No trade-in required!

Foldable phones are all the rage right now, but these innovative devices don’t come cheap. Luckily, carriers like T-Mobile have been quick to discount Samsung’s Z series if you can meet a few eligibility requirements first. Add a line with the Experience Beyond or Experience More plan, for instance, and the Big Three carriers will hook you up with enough promo credits to make the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 completely free. No trade-in required!

Is the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 worth it?

While it may not get as much attention as Samsung’s book-style Z Fold 8 and, the Galaxy Z Flip 8is a stellar device in its own right, boasting a lighter-than-ever build, a durable folding hinge, and two vibrant AMOLED displays straight out of the box.

Under the hood, the clamshell foldable features the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with 12GB of RAM, plus it has seven years of guaranteed OS/security updates and the latest Galaxy AI software features.

The Galaxy Z Flip 8 may not be a massive upgrade from its predecessor, but it takes the best parts of 2025’s Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 and packs them into a lighter, more durable package. The clamshell design is also more convenient and pocketable than Samsung’s Z Fold devices, giving users an experience that feels stylish, innovative, and endlessly versatile.

So what’s the catch?

Well, as I mentioned above, you’ll need to add a line with the Experience More or Experience Beyond plans to score the full discount at T-Mobile. These unlimited plans start at $90/month for a single line, although you can make them significantly cheaper by adding multiple lines and taking advantage of AutoPay discounts.

They’re also two of the best unlimited plans in the business, giving users unlimited talk, text, and premium data on T-Mobile’s comprehensive network, plus mobile hotspots, international benefits, and free subscriptions to Netflix, Apple TV, and Hulu (with Experience Beyond only).

Sure, this deal may not be for everyone, but if you’re looking for a new wireless plan, this is an easy way to get some powerful T-Mobile coverage and one of the year’s best foldable phones without the hassle of a trade-in. Why wait for Black Friday when the phone deals are already this good?
