Obama recently spoke out against Trump during a rally in Detroit, where he – as Jimmy Kimmel puts it in the clip above – roasted Trump “like a suckling pig”.
The host plays a clip of the former president talking about what the current one has done to the White House, saying all the gold looks like “Saddam Hussein opened a Cheesecake Factory.”
“Fox News of course jumped on that, they called Obama an out-of-touch elitist for making fun of the Cheesecake Factory,” says Kimmel. “Right, but the guy building the 90,000 square foot ballroom? Man of the people, absolute salt of the Earth.”
Kimmel goes on to play Trump’s reaction, with him addressing Obama directly and saying his comment “just shows why you were a lousy president.”
“I think there’s only one way to settle this,” says Kimmel. “Roast battle on the White House lawn, live.”
