Palworld Version 1.1 ‘Side by Side’ Teased for Winter

October 27, 2026

Pocketpair has named Palworld’s first major update since the game’s July 2026 full release: Version 1.1, titled “Side by Side,” arriving this winter. The title and its teaser image lean on one idea, standing next to Pals that were previously boss fights.

The teaser, shared on Pocketpair’s official social channels on October 26 and reported by GameRant, carries silhouettes of several in-game bosses, including Tower Bosses Zoey and Saya. The studio has not said what the silhouettes mean, but the pairing of the “Side by Side” title with boss characters reads as a hint that players may fight alongside Palworld’s Tower Bosses rather than only against them.

The words in the teaser

Two phrases carry the weight. The name “Side by Side” suggests companionship, and Pocketpair tells players they will need to “make some new friends” to survive on Palpagos, the island setting of Palworld’s open world.

GameRant’s read of the silhouettes goes further: the visual suggests players will be able to team up with the game’s Tower Bosses. That is the outlet’s interpretation of an image, not a Pocketpair statement, and the studio gave no details about what “Side by Side” actually contains. The same outlet notes that the post also teases that more information about Version 1.1 is coming soon, without a timeline.

What Pocketpair already committed to

One thing is already on record. Pocketpair community representative Bucky said earlier that Version 1.1 will include a major new feature that fans have repeatedly requested, while staying deliberately vague about what it is. That statement predates this week’s teaser, and this week’s reveal does not settle which feature Bucky meant.

The update is the first headline content drop since Palworld left more than two years of early access with its Version 1.0 launch in July 2026, so it is an early test of what Pocketpair’s post-release cadence looks like. The studio is expanding the property on other fronts at the same time: a Palworld Official Card Game launched in late July, its Legends Awaken expansion is scheduled for October 30, and a Palworld Online spin-off is in development with Singapore-based publisher Garena, revealed in August.

Version 1.1 “Side by Side” is due this winter on Palworld’s platforms, with an exact release date not yet announced.
