Add Android Authority on Google:

TL;DR

  • Google’s latest System Services release notes confirm the new Android Family Hub, a dedicated space for family management tools in Android Settings.
  • The feature is arriving with Google Play services v26.43.
  • We recently spotted the Family Hub in testing on Pixel 11 phones, sitting at the top of the Settings app much like Apple’s Family section on iOS.

Managing a Google family group on Android has long meant bouncing between the Family Link app, the Play Store, and various Google account pages. That’s now becoming a lot simpler, with Google putting Android family management where it should have been all along — in one place.

In its latest System Services release notes for November 2026, Google says you can now access the Android Family Hub, which it describes as “a dedicated space for family management tools in Android Settings.”

The feature is arriving with Google Play services v26.43. Google hasn’t shared any more details in the release notes, but we already have a decent idea of what to expect from the new hub.

What is Android Family Hub?

Last week, we reported that Google was testing an iOS-style Family hub on the Pixel after a few Pixel 11 owners spotted a new Family option at the very top of the Settings app. Tapping it opened a page listing family members alongside details on shared subscriptions like Google One storage, Google AI, and YouTube Premium. The hub also surfaced Calendar events involving multiple family members, current shared locations for family members, and feature suggestions for the family manager.

That placement is similar to how Apple handles things on iOS, where Family Sharing controls sit near the top of the Settings app. On Android, these tools have typically been scattered or required a separate app download, so having them in one place in Settings should be a welcome change for family managers.

Google’s release notes don’t specify which devices will get the Family Hub. Our earlier reports only came from the Pixel 11, but since the feature is shipping through Google Play Services rather than a Pixel-specific update, it’s possible it will reach a wider range of Android phones. We’ll keep an eye out to see how broadly it rolls out.

As always, keep in mind that Google Play Services updates roll out slowly, so it may take some time before the new Android Family Hub shows up on your phone.
