Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto 6 launches on November 19. If you’re planning to buy the $80 edition but want to upgrade later to the $100 version, you might be interested to know if such a thing is possible.
Thankfully, yes, it is-and it’s very easy to do.
Rockstar will offer an “Ultimate Edition Upgrade” for $20, so for anyone who buys the $80 version and decides they do want the additional perks, they can upgrade. This applies to both the digital edition of GTA 6 that you can buy from the Xbox and PlayStation stores, as well the code-in-a-box physical edition.
The $100 Ultimate Edition, which is not sold in stores, includes a lot of extras, including vehicles, weapons, clothing for your in-game characters. The items are “threaded across all aspects of Jason and Lucia’s story,” Rockstar said, with new items becoming available “behind each chapter.” Additionally, people who buy the $100 version get access to in-game businesses that won’t be available to everyone else, including a hair salon, a tattoo parlor, a mod shop, and more.
Meanwhile, all preorders for GTA 6 come with the The Vintage Vice City Pack
and one month of GTA+.
In other news, preloading for GTA 6 begins November 10, and that’s good news considering the game weighs in at a whopping 212GB. The game officially unlocks at midnight local time, so pack your bags for New Zealand if you want to play it sooner.
