Rockstar Games opened “The Launch Gallery” on November 5, posting a batch of new Grand Theft Auto VI screenshots on its official site two weeks ahead of the game’s November 19 launch. Outlet counts of the batch vary between 36 and 39 images.
What the new screenshots show
The images put protagonists Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos front and center across the state of Leonida, from Port Gellhorn and the Leonida Keys to an area called the Grassivers. Several frames show the pair mid-crime: bank heists, carjackings, police chases and a pursuit around a superyacht. Others lean into Leonida’s nightlife, including cabaret scenes.
Close-ups show extreme skin detail, down to individual pores on characters’ faces. Some frames also appear to be free-camera shots rather than gameplay captures, which has prompted speculation that GTA 6 may include a photo mode, though Rockstar has not confirmed one.
The drop follows a steady drip of pre-release detail, from ridable buses and trains to money-gated story missions revealed in earlier coverage.
Two weeks of runway
Rockstar released what is expected to be the final GTA 6 trailer in October, and the gallery now fills the gap until launch logistics kick in. Preloading begins November 10 on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and the install is a big one: about 212GB. The game unlocks at midnight local time in each region, which means players in the United States will be among the last in the world to start playing.
Rockstar is also taking the marketing offline. On November 18 it hosts “A Night in Vice City” in Miami, an NBA game between the Miami Heat and Milwaukee Bucks with the Heat rebranded as the Vice City Heat for the night.
GTA 6 launches November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. No PC release date has been announced.
