The devs are correct.
The PS5 dev kit level specs would have been needed early on due the game fully integrating immediate rift loading into the gameplay and story.
The loading gameplay’s not something you would just add on after a new ssd releases.
At that time and even during the development period, there was no ssd at that reliable speed and compression level.
PS5 made this game possible.
