After rumors and delays and rumors of delays, Sony is finally showing off some PlayStation 5 games in a new event called The Future of Gaming. This event is scheduled to begin today at 1:00 p.m. PT / 4:00 p.m. ET. It’ll run for a little over an hour and is focused primarily on showing gameplay from both first and third-party PS5 titles. Here’s the different ways you can tune in and check out The Future of Gaming later today.
How to watch the PS5 live stream on your PS4
If you want to comfortably watch the stream through your PS4 on your TV, you can easily set a reminder so you’ll automatically jump in when it’s time.
- Power on your PS4.
- Scroll over to the Events tab on the homepage.

Press X.

You’ll see a variety of events to choose from, select The Future of Gaming.

You’ll see anyone on your Friends list that is going to the event.

If you want to automatically start watching when it begins, select Auto-Join at Start Time.

How to watch the PS5 live stream on your computer or phone
If you don’t want to or can’t watch the stream through your PS4, there’s a couple of streaming platforms to check as well. One of the simplest ways is to just tune into PlayStation Twitch channel at 4:00 p.m. ET.

Because spoilers for The Last of Us Part II are in the wild and being shared by trolls, I recommend that you hide the chat if you choose to watch this event through Twitch or YouTube.
A solid show incoming
PlayStation has not held a true showcase event since E3 2018. There have been small State of Play or blog post reveals but nothing of this caliber has been seen for two years.
