Samsung has something big coming on October 21, and yes, you’ll get $100 credit just for reserving

Project Moohan has been kicking around for some time, with Samsung giving us small bits of information here and there throughout the year. We recently got to see the headset during Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit, and it was only a matter of time before it made its official debut.

With that said, Samsung has now announced its Project Moohan event that will take place on October 21. In addition, the brand is offering a $100 credit that can be used towards the device. While we don’t know how much the device will be, early reports speculate that it could be pretty expensive.

Something new from Samsung

Although this will be a new product category for Samsung, it does have some experience with headsets. And while we have no doubt that it will get the hardware right, the software is where it’s really going to matter. If consumers don’t have a reason to use this device, then it’s probably not going to sell all that well.

Luckily, this headset is running Android XR, which should, at the very least, provide access to plenty of popular apps and services. The interesting part is we’ve seen how parts of the OS will work, and there’s bound to be so much more shown off during the upcoming event. Thankfully, we won’t have to wait long to find out, with October 21 just a week away.

If the past is any indication, the $100 credit will only be available ahead of the event. Once the event goes live, the $100 credit will go away. So, if you’re the least bit curious about this device, we recommend reserving through Samsung. It only requires your name and email address.

If you don’t like what you see during the event, there’s no obligation to buy it. You’ll get an email notifying you that the product is now available, and you can just ignore it. Let us know in the comments how you feel about Samsung’s Project Moohan.
