The first expansion for Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution, Phantasmal Flames, has finally dropped. Thank goodness we’re getting good deals off the shelf right now, as it’s been a rough year for finding decent prices on sealed Pokémon TCG product. Is Amazon starting to behave itself with its Pokémon TCG pricing?
The Phantasmal Flames Booster Box is currently below market value on Amazon at $281.01, compared to TCGplayer’s current market value of $300. Whilst it’s still over MSRP, getting products below market value right now is a deal in itself.
Phantasmal Flames focuses in on Mega Charizard X with a standard ex, Secret Art Rare, and Gold Hyper Rare. Other Mega Pokémon have made the SIR cut such as Mega Lopunny ex and normal Pokémon such as Rotom ex. The set is also oddly missing Mega Gengar ex SIR, which is likely to appear in the next set releasing next year.
