Smartwatches usually take center stage when it comes to wearables, but do you really need all of that? If you’re someone who just wants health and fitness tracking, simple notifications, and great battery life, a fitness tracker like the Fitbit Charge 6 might be a better option.
We had a chance to review this device when it was first released, and we liked it. Of course, at the time, it was also $160, which was a good price but not a great one. The good news is that you can now save big on the Fitbit Charge 6, with Amazon knocking 50% off.
You can’t go wrong if you want something simple
This is the lowest price we’ve seen on this model, making it a stellar time to pick one up. The Fitbit Charge 6 is lightweight yet durable, and also has an AMOLED screen that you can use to check the information that’s important to you.
In addition, it also provides up to seven days of battery life. Perhaps most important is the band’s ability to track important health and fitness metrics. And you get a wide range of information using the Google Health app on your paired device.
You can also pair supported cards for payment at compatible terminals. For the most part, the Charge 6 is a solid device that will track the things that matter about your health and daily activities.
The one major drawback of the Charge 6 or most fitness trackers, for that matter, is that you don’t get expandability through an app store. You get whatever comes on the device, and that’s it. Now, this isn’t a bad thing if you want to keep things simple.
