Samsung’s big Call of Duty deal comes with early Modern Warfare 4 access

Anyone who bought Samsung’s pricey Odyssey series of ultra-wide monitors just found another reason to fill up every inch of it. Samsung has become the official TV, monitor, soundbar, and Wi-Fi speaker partner for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, with Activision and Samsung integrating HDR10+ Gaming into the upcoming shooter.

This isn’t just a simple partnership that brings some cool stickers or logos either; Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will officially launch with support for a 32:9 aspect ratio. It gives Odyssey G9 owners a considerably wider view of the battlefield.

The partnership stretches beyond display support too, with Samsung offering early beta codes and letting Gamescom visitors play Modern Warfare 4 before its October release.

Modern Warfare 4 is embracing the ultrawide presence

In the official announcement, Samsung said that HDR10+ Gaming support will improve color and contrast while preserving the developers’ intended presentation. The 32:9 support is arguably the bigger deal for PC players, especially anyone using one of Samsung’s giant Odyssey G9 displays.

A 32:9 monitor essentially gives you the horizontal screen space of two conventional 16:9 displays side-by-side. Plenty of games still struggle with proper super-ultrawide support, so Activision confirming it ahead of launch is welcome news for anyone who has invested in one of these enormous (and expensive) displays.

Samsung is also using its Gaming Hub to promote Call of Duty: NEXT on August 21 at 9 am PT. Selected players will receive Modern Warfare 4 Beta Early Access codes through the Samsung Promotion app, granting access from August 21 through August 25. The wider Open Beta then runs from August 28 through September 1.

Gamescom visitors can play it early

Samsung is taking the partnership to Gamescom 2026, where Modern Warfare 4 will be playable at its booth from August 26 through August 30 on premium Odyssey gaming monitors. Select booth visitors will also receive Modern Warfare 4 Vault Edition Battle.net codes, giving Samsung another reason to expect a crowded stand in Cologne. The game itself launches October 23.

Call of Duty needs no help attracting players. It has a massive fanbase that always shows up for its major title releases. But supporting Samsung’s gigantic 32:9 monitors does give PC gamers a better reason to look out for this partnership.
