Do you want to scale all the Scouting Towers in The Blood of Dawnwalker? These landmarks dot the countryside of Vale Sangora. Climbing them should be your priority since they reveal important info about your surroundings. Oh, and most locations have rewards inside chests, too.
All Scouting Tower locations
There are 11 Scouting Towers in The Blood of Dawnwalker. Once you’re done with the prologue, you should be able to explore at your leisure. Here’s what you need to know:
- Scouting Towers can only be climbed when it’s nighttime. That’s because you need vampiric powers like Shadowstep and Planeshift to reach ledges and walk on walls.
- Upon climbing to the top of a tower, survey the landscape by pressing the button prompt on each spot. Doing so makes activities, locations, and points-of-interest appear on the world map.
- Don’t forget to loot any nearby containers while you’re at it. Most of these structures have manuals that allow you to learn new skills.
Note: Scouting Towers do not cause time to progress. Because of this, we recommend prioritizing this activity as soon as you’re able to. If you’re up for it, you can actually tag all the towers in a single evening.

Tower 1: Church Tower
- Location: It’s the very church where the Blood Mass took place during the prologue. Climb it once you’re able to use your vampiric traversal abilities.
- Reward: Aether Flow Manual
Tower 2: Briar Sloughs Tower
- Location: Head south upon exiting Laslea Glen. It’s near the river and across from it is a Pilgrimage for Power – Sacred Stone.
- Reward: Amalgam Manual
Tower 3: Maragir Wealds Tower
- Location: This Scouting Tower in The Blood of Dawnwalker is in the easternmost edge of the Maragir Wealds region. There’s a Vidmo specter inside the structure, so be ready to defeat it.

Tower 4: Boar’s Back Tower
- Location: West of Svartrau City in an area called Shrike’s Crag.
- Reward: Potent Blood Manual and Duelist’s Pendant (epic amulet).

Tower 5: Neustadt Tower
- Location: This is the first of several Blood of Dawnwalker Scouting Towers in the capital. Go up the battlements in the southwestern part of the city. Before the guards turn hostile as you’re trespassing, Shadowstep on the rooftop.
- Reward: N/A
Tower 6: Market Tower
- Location: This one is in the north-central part of the city.
- Reward: N/A
Tower 7: Cathedral Tower
- Location: Your goal is to head to the massive cathedral that dominates most of the city proper. Climb up the scaffolding, then continue to the rooftop. You should then see a prompt to teleport/fly all the way to the cross.
- Reward: N/A
These are the towers that you need to climb in Svartrau City. They’re in Neustadt (left), Altenmarkt (middle), and the Cathedral Complex (right).
Tower 8: St. Tyna’s Grove Tower
- Location: Between one of Ambrus’ outposts and an Ancient Circle. There are several Undead enemies outside, but you can avoid them if you scale the rock formations, before Shadowstepping onto the tower.

Tower 9: Tantari Tower
- Location: Northwest of Tantari Woods. Cast Shadowstep on the wooden boards, then Planeshift on the walls so you can make your way to the top.
- Reward: Lasting Medication Manual
Tower 10: Rockfalls Tower
- Location: Due south of the abandoned village of Oghasti and west of the Lunar Manor. You won’t have enough stamina to Planeshift walk on the outer walls. Instead, you must head inside and use Shadowstep as you go from one wooden board to the next.

Tower 11: Silts Tower/Aurelius Tower
- Location: This Scouting Tower in The Blood of Dawnwalker is fairly unique. That’s because something “out of this world” occurs if you attempt to interrupt the malevolent ritual. We don’t want to spoil all the details. However, if you just want to grab the reward, you can walk along the outer walls and ledges. Eventually, you should be able to reach the roof, where you can drop back down to a balcony with a chest.
