Intel’s GPUs are really looking like competition. Allegedly RTX 3060 Ti – RTX 3070 Ti rasterization performance on the top end, Hardware accelerated Raytracing (more than likely better than AMD and closer to RTX 2000+), a DLSS competitor that’s easier to implement and useable on non-Intel GPUs (although significantly less performant without the AI Matrix cores), all we need now is a decent price (highly unlikely considering, and Intel is all about making profit, and have been losing their profit margins due to AMD on the CPU side).
If this can launch for $500 MSPR, or even $600 it will bring a much needed competition and diversity to the market and at least force current prices to get back down closer to MSRP. The roadmap for next-gen GPUs has already been set, so 2022 / 2023, but the following roadmap 2024 / 2025 is when things will finally be competitive again, and prices will be standardized and not 2x suggested MSRP.
