September 4, 2024

As summer approaches its end and welcomes fallen leaves and colder weather, Disney Dreamlight Valley has decided to celebrate with a brand-new event. The End of Summer event brings some exciting new crafting and cooking recipes that really nail the feeling of transitioning out of summer, promising to provide your valley with some fresh autumn vibes. Here’s what you need to know about the End of Summer event.

End of Summer event start and end dates

The End of Summer event is live from September 4 – September 26. When the event ends, all of its unique crafting items or ingredients will cease to spawn in your game, so you’ll want to act fast! That being said, any of these crafting items or ingredients you’ve obtained prior to the end of the event will remain in your inventory for you to use at your leisure.

How the End of Summer event works

The End of Summer event is all about getting in the spirit of Fall. To sell this idea, you’re able to find new marshmallow ingredients scattered around your valley that can be used for crafting items and cooking two new recipes (more on these below).

There are two types of marshmallows. Here’s where to find them and how to stock up.

Blue Marshmallows

These are found on the ground in random spots throughout your valley. You can use a level 3 Ancient Vacuum to pick these up if you prefer, saving you a lot of time spent wandering around.

You’ll need 130 Blue Marshmallows to craft everything in the End of Summer event.

Pink Marshmallows

These spawn on three temporary bushes spawned randomly in your Plaza. Each time you pick them, you’ll receive 4 marshmallows for a total of 12 per respawn timer. Check them frequently to get more.

You’ll need 130 Pink Marshmallows to craft everything in the End of Summer event.

End of Summer event cooking recipes

There are two new crafting recipes in the End of Summer event, and you’ll need to make quite a few of them to craft the new items. Here’s how to make both of them.

  • Roasted Marshmallows – Blue Marshmallows x2, Pink Marshmallows x2
  • S’mores – Blue Marshmallow, Pink Marshmallow, Wheat x2
