Google is updating the Pixel Buds Pro 2, delivering new features to keep the earbuds fresh for 2026. These earbuds first came out in 2024, so we’re not going to complain about any new features or improvements Google might bring.
However, many people have been hoping for a successor. But it looks like Google will keep the Pixel Buds Pro 2 around for a little while longer. So, if you’ve been thinking about buying a pair, now might be a good time.
It’s worth it
The Pixel Buds Pro 2 were well-reviewed when they first launched and have only gotten better over time thanks to updates. We love the powerful ANC, great battery life, immersive spatial audio, and comfortable design. This latest update brings impressive new features, like Dynamic ANC, Gemini audio control, upgraded Live Translate, and more.
Of course, a premier set of earbuds isn’t going to come cheap. Normally, the Pixel Buds Pro 2 retail for $229. That puts them in a similar space to the Apple AirPods Pro, the Bose QuietComfort Ultra, the Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 Pro, and many others. So we recommend buying them when they are on sale.
That said, Amazon is now offering a solid discount, dropping the price to $189. It’s a reasonable price for a great pair of earbuds. Again, we don’t think you’ll dislike the Pixel Buds Pro 2. At this newly discounted price, they’re easy to recommend. If you want the latest version, you can order the new Olive color.
