Samsung is ending the week with the arrival of two major products in the U.S. Today (Nov. 6), the company announced that its latest trackers and earbuds are available for purchase.
Samsung said its next-gen tracker, the Galaxy SmartTag 3, features a “slimmer design” and long-range tracking. Additionally, Samsung revealed two new features: Place Notification and Movement Detection Alert. In a joint blog post, Samsung states Place Notification will alert users if “a tagged item moves in or out of a predefined area that they set.”
The Movement Detection Alert is much simpler: Samsung states this warning system will inform users if their tagged item is moving. These features likely work in tandem with the SmartTag 3’s Compass View. Samsung says this works up to 60 meters away, giving users “distance and directional guidance.” The SmartTag 3’s Location History helps users keep better tabs on where their tag (or tagged items) have been.

The SmartTag 3 connects to a range of devices, thanks to its cross-OS support and the Galaxy Find Network. The SmartTag 3 is available in the U.S. for $29.99 (single tracker) or in a four-pack for $99.
Today is also the day the Galaxy Buds On officially launch in the U.S. Samsung reiterates that the open earbuds are available for $229 at Samsung’s storefront and retailers.
It’s all here
Samsung announced the Galaxy Buds On late in October, teasing its forthcoming availability. These clip-on, open-ear buds see the company stepping into a new market. Each bud weighs 6.65 grams and wraps around the user’s ear for comfort. Samsung states it uses “over 119 million ear data points” to refine the fit of the Galaxy Buds On. (What’s an ear data point, we ask?)
Its post reiterates the device’s TwinBoost Speaker. This is an automatic volume adjustment feature that alters your audio to match your surroundings. What’s more, since these are open-ear buds, they feature Audio Leakage Reduction tech to keep what you’re listening to private. As you’d expect, the Galaxy Buds On supports Google’s Gemini Live with voice commands.
Users will also find Samsung’s head gestures for answering calls, swiping through notifications, and silencing alarms.
